Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with BIC contract representatives and learn the advantages of using a BIC solution and how to help fulfill agency contracting needs. In addition, attendees can engage with Category Management government representatives and IT BIC solution contract representatives during panel discussions, expert talks, and various networking opportunities.
The IT Government-wide Category has partnered with and is coordinating with ACT-IAC on an FY25 IT Government-wide Category Forum, intended to be an in-person event in October 2024. As part of the larger Federal Category Management Framework, the ITVMO works in tandem with the IT Category to drive down federal IT costs. The Best-in-Class (BIC) vehicle solutions leverage federated best practices to ensure agency IT buyers acquire common IT goods and services equitably, efficiently, and securely. The networking session will include representatives from the key IT BIC programs. Summit participants can inquire about opportunities on how the vehicles serve as a pipeline for marketplace suppliers (large and small businesses) to provide innovative technology services and products as well as how agency buyers can leverage the vehicles to avoid cost burden, gain efficiencies, and secure, compliant emerging technologies.
OSDBU Exhibitor Tables
Emerging technology and innovation are needed by the government from both large and small businesses. Many small businesses harvest the emerging technology and innovation key to supporting important federal government transformation. Small businesses, both seasoned firms and those new to government contracting, must determine which agency is best aligned with its capabilities and if its skill sets meet the requirements set forth by agency contracting offices. The networking session will feature representatives from several agency OSDBUs, where they can discuss specific agency IT forecasts and upcoming opportunities and companies can share their corporate capabilities.

Forum Opening:
The IT Category is the fourth largest federal portfolio with $77 billion in IT spend annually and more than 50% of that funding spent on IT products. Hear how as a portfolio, we are continuously looking for ways to scale, maximize, and innovate how the category operates by fostering lasting improvements across people, process, and technologies used in the federal IT acquisition ecosystem.
