ACT-IAC Fellows Awards

Fellow of the Year

The Fellow of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates exemplary contributions, dedication, and achievements of individuals within the ACT IAC community. This award aims to honor individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, collaboration, and service to advance the goals and mission of ACT IAC.

Criteria:

  1. Active Participation and Engagement:
    • The nominee must have actively participated in activities, events, initiatives, and projects throughout the eligibility period, demonstrating a strong commitment to the community.
    • Evidence of consistent engagement, involvement in meetings, discussions, and collaborations, as well as contributions should be provided.
  2. Leadership and Initiative:
    • The nominee should have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, taking initiative to drive meaningful change, foster innovation, and inspire others.
    • Examples of leadership roles held, initiatives spearheaded, projects led, and the impact of their leadership should be highlighted.
  3. Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • The nominee must have actively collaborated ACT IAC community, fostering a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and inclusivity.
    • Evidence of collaborative efforts, joint projects, support provided to peers, and the ability to work effectively in diverse teams should be presented.
  4. Mentorship and Support:
    • The nominee should have demonstrated a commitment to mentorship and support, offering guidance, advice, and assistance to others to facilitate their personal and professional development.
    • Examples of mentorship relationships established, support provided to newcomers, and the impact of their mentorship efforts on the growth and success of others should be showcased.
  5. Innovation and Creativity:
    • The nominee should have exhibited innovative thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, contributing novel ideas, solutions, or approaches to address challenges or advance the ACT IAC mission.
    • Evidence of innovative projects, initiatives, or contributions that have made a significant impact on the community should be provided.
  6. Service and Advocacy:
    • The nominee must have demonstrated a commitment to service and advocacy, actively promoting the values, goals, and interests of both internally and externally.
    • Examples of advocacy efforts, community service activities, outreach initiatives, or contributions to advancing ACT IAC’s  mission should be highlighted.

Nomination Process:

  • Nominations for the Fellow of the Year Award can be submitted by fellow members, leadership, or other stakeholders within the ACT IAC community.
  • Each nomination should include detailed examples and evidence addressing the requirements outlined above, demonstrating why the nominee deserves to be recognized as the Fellow of the Year.


Community Impact

To recognize individuals that have demonstrated exceptional commitment and dedication to giving back to their community, fostering positive change, and creating a lasting impact on the lives of others.

Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated Impact: The nominee should have a proven track record of making a tangible and positive difference in their community through their philanthropic efforts, volunteerism, or social initiatives.
  2. Innovation and Creativity: The nominee's approach to giving back should showcase innovation, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking, whether through the development of new programs, initiatives, or methods of engagement.
  3. Sustainability: The nominee's contributions should reflect a commitment to sustainability and long-term impact, with efforts that go beyond temporary solutions to address systemic issues and create lasting change.
  4. Community Engagement: The nominee should actively engage with the community they serve, demonstrating inclusivity, collaboration, and a genuine understanding of the needs and aspirations of those they seek to support.
  5. Inspiration and Leadership: The nominee should serve as an inspirational role model, motivating others to get involved and contribute to their communities. Their leadership should inspire others to take action and make a difference.
  6. Measurable Results: The impact of the nominee's efforts should be quantifiable and measurable, with clear evidence of the outcomes achieved and the lives positively affected as a result of their contributions.
  7. Ethical Standards: The nominee should uphold the highest ethical standards in their endeavors, demonstrating integrity, transparency, and accountability in all their actions and interactions.

Nomination Process:

  • Nominations for the Community Impact Award can be submitted by individuals familiar with the nominee's work.
  • Nominations should include a detailed description of the nominee's contributions, along with supporting evidence, testimonials, and any relevant documentation highlighting their impact.


Leadership

The Leadership Excellence Award aims to recognize and honor individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities, inspiring and guiding others towards achieving shared goals, fostering innovation, and driving positive change within their respective domains.

Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated Visionary Leadership:
    • The nominee must have exhibited a clear vision for their organization, team, or community, outlining strategic objectives and inspiring others to work towards achieving them.
    • Evidence of forward-thinking approaches, proactive decision-making, and the ability to anticipate and navigate challenges effectively should be provided.
  2. Inspirational Communication Skills:
    • The nominee should have effectively communicated their vision, goals, and expectations, fostering a sense of purpose and motivation among their team or followers.
    • Examples of effective communication methods, including but not limited to speeches, presentations, written communication, and interpersonal interactions, should be highlighted.
  3. Empowerment and Mentorship:
    • The nominee must have demonstrated a commitment to empowering others, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and inclusivity within their organization or community.
    • Evidence of mentorship, coaching, and support provided to team members or peers, resulting in personal and professional growth, should be provided.
  4. Integrity and Ethical Leadership:
    • The nominee should have exhibited integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior in all aspects of their leadership role, serving as a role model for others.
    • Examples of difficult decisions made with integrity, adherence to ethical principles, and accountability for actions taken should be highlighted.
  5. Impact and Results:
    • The nominee's leadership should have resulted in tangible and measurable outcomes, such as improved organizational performance, increased productivity, enhanced team cohesion, or positive societal impact.
    • Quantitative and qualitative evidence of the results achieved under the nominee's leadership, along with testimonials from stakeholders, should be presented.

Nomination Process:

  • Nominations for the Leadership Award can be submitted by peers, supervisors, subordinates, or other stakeholders familiar with the nominee's leadership qualities.
  • Each nomination should include detailed examples and evidence addressing the requirements outlined above, demonstrating why the nominee deserves to be recognized for their leadership excellence.
