Adam Goldstein

Adam Goldstein has been serving as Associate Commissioner, Office of Acquisition and Grants, at the Social Security Administration (SSA) since 2001. In that role, he acts as both Senior Procurement Executive and Senior Accountable Official for Financial Assistance. In this capacity, Adam is responsible for an annual procurement spend of approximately $2 billion. Prior to this role, Adam participated in SSA’s Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program where he completed assignments as acting Deputy Associate Commissioner for Disability Policy, Assistant Regional Commissioner Management and Operations Support, and Deputy Regional Commissioner.

Adam entered the procurement workforce in 2004 as a Contract Specialist at the U.S. Department of Education and has held positions of increasing responsibility at numerous agencies. This included two overseas roles: Deputy Director of the Army’s 408th Contracting Support Brigade (Camp Arifjan, Kuwait) and CENTCOM Contracting Command Services Division Chief (Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan). Adam has also had the opportunity to work in industry as well, with CACI. Adam is both a Certified Federal Contract Manager and Certified Professional Contract Manager, in addition to being a Fellow of the National Contract Management Association.
