
Lisa P. Grant is the Deputy Clerk of the U.S. House of Representatives, where she plays a key role in supporting the legislative process. She is a visible presence on C-SPAN, assisting Members of Congress in carrying out their constitutional responsibilities. In her current position, Lisa successfully led the transition from the 118th to the 119th Congress, modernizing the process by shifting from a paper-based system to a digital one, significantly improving efficiency and saving time for incoming Members-Elect.
Prior to her current role, Lisa served as the Chief Procurement Officer for the U.S. House of Representatives, overseeing procurement operations for the legislative body, the Clerk’s office, the Chief Administrative Officer, the Sergeant at Arms, and various support offices. Before joining the House, she was the Acting Commissioner for Acquisition Management within the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Federal Acquisition Service, where she was recognized as one of GovFresh’s Top 100+ Women in Government and Technology.
With nearly 35 years of experience in acquisition management, Lisa has handled the procurement of a diverse range of goods and services, from fuel to complex IT systems, for both the Department of Defense and civilian agencies. She holds certifications as a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) and a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) through the National Contract Management Association.
In August 2024, Lisa expanded her leadership skills by becoming a certified John Maxwell Leadership Trainer, Coach, and Keynote Speaker, underscoring her dedication to leadership development. She is also a graduate of the Office of Personnel Management’s Federal Executive Institute (FEI) and the General Services Administration’s Leadership Development Program.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Science in Management.
