Summary:
GSA is determining how to address the cloud marketplace within the Federal government. Different departments have different needs as they move to the cloud. GSA would like to determine the best way they can support their Federal customers. This also means they need industry input regarding the impact that their decisions will have on cloud services providers. The subcommittee will address questions such as:
The goals of the Acquisition Transformation Project are to transform federal acquisition to be more effective and efficient and to provide a place for stakeholders to engage and effectuate this transformation.
Three pilot projects designed to test the transformation model have started: GSA Public Building Service (PBS), FEMA Flood Insurance Management Agency (FIMA), and Treasury Program Review. The purpose of these pilot projects is to enhance the Transformation Guide.

Provide recommendations, leading practices, and processes to the Product Control Board (PCB) on how to best structure and organize itself to speak as one government voice. The Initial line of business (LOB) use case is Financial Management.
Project Proposal Overview
The new PCB should be designed, where possible, to leverage government and commercial best practices and be applicable to any commonly used systems or solutions.
An assessment and ideation project for viable application of cognitive computing in the federal sector.
Work in collaboration with the FM-IS-SS COI to help define the next generation of Financial Management data analytics and applied technologies to support the Statutory roll out through FY18.
Seek Request for Assistance (RFA) from individual agencies and/or OMB or Treasury to research and shape applicable use cases and data transparency guidance
The EWF COI project in FY16 was to develop a roadmap for federal agencies establishing or advancing practices in the use of analytics for talent management purposes. Data was gathered through reference materials and interviews with industry leaders who are leading the way in HR and Talent Analytics. The draft roadmap has been completed. The project sponsor has asked that the project team expand the study to identify current state in the government by conducting interviews with agencies.
