Learning Opportunities

 

The rapid pace of technological change is transforming society, businesses and government.  Individuals who wish to survive and thrive must embrace the concept of lifelong learning. This is especially critical when dealing with the application of technology to government programs.

ACT-IAC provides training and educational opportunities that enhance an individual's knowledge and skills.  As a result, individuals have a greater chance of maximizing their career opportunities while organizations acquire a more talented workforce and are better positioned to achieve organizational missions and goals.

ACT-IAC formal training opportunities, exist under the ACT-IAC Academy and the ACT-IAC Professional Development programs.  Continuous Learning Points are also provided for participation in a number of different ACT-IAC conferences and events.  For more information on Learning Credits click here.

ACT-IAC Academy

The ACT-IAC Academy provides high quality educational training to enhance the skills and knowledge of individuals interested in the management and application of technology to government.  Courses offered under the Academy are provided through partnerships with ACT-IAC members.  To see a list of current courses click here.

ACT-IAC Professional Development

ACT-IAC provides three of the most valuable and highly respected professional development programs in the government IT community.  The goal of these programs is to foster collaboration and communication between government and industry.  Graduates of these programs are uniquely qualified to advance to the next stage in their career.  These professional development programs are only open to members of ACT-IAC.  For more information about the ACT-IAC Professional Development programs click here
