Abstract
We enthusiastically read the recently released, Digital Transformation Industry and Agency Best
Practices and Lessons Learned paper by the ACT-IAC IT Management and Modernization
Community of Interest. It outlines real-world digital transformation experiences from interviews
with industry, nonprofits, and government, highlighting valuable insights from implementers
across sectors. The authors acknowledge Digital Transformation is a broad term that receives a
lot of buzz and means different things to different people. A common theme focuses on
organizations automating labor intensive processes to improve service to citizens and
customers.
