Abstract
This article focuses on an intriguing chapter in the book I referred to in my last article; Practical Innovation in Government: How Front-line Leaders are Transforming Public Sector Organizations by Alan Robinson and Dean Schroeder and is based on their six year, five-country study of 77 government organizations. The authors tracked eight successful organization-wide continuous improvement initiatives, observing the strategies leaders used to transform their organizations including the topic of this article, engaging private sector partners, collectively, to improve the government supply chain.
