ACT-IAC Community of Interest Leadership Nomination 2026

Abstract

The following ACT-IAC Communities of Interest (COIs) are open for nominations from the ACT-IAC membership for the following positions, for the term July 1, 2026- June 30, 2028. 

Nomination forms and a signed copy of the ACT-IAC Code of Conduct are due by 5:00 PM on May 8, 2026.

COI Leadership Responsibilities:

Outlined below are the leadership roles and responsibilities within the ACT-IAC Communities of Interest (COIs) and how they facilitate collaboration and alignment between government and industry stakeholders.

  • Industry Chair: The Industry Chair fosters collaboration between government and industry, aligns COI initiatives with ACT-IAC priorities, oversees project delivery, leads meetings, and ensures broad membership engagement in a neutral and inclusive manner. 
  • Government Chair: The Government Chair encourages government participation, aligns activities with ACT-IAC’s mission, oversees projects, leads meetings, and represents the COI in a neutral and agency-neutral manner, ensuring government needs are met. 
  • Industry Vice-Chair: Supports the Industry Chair, leads project oversight and cross-COI collaboration, represents the COI in council meetings, manages communications if needed, and upholds vendor-neutral representation. 
  • Government Vice-Chair: Acts as deputy to the Government Chair, supports work planning and project oversight, leads cross-COI collaboration, liaises with government advisors, and ensures open government engagement. 

Cross-role collaboration and compliance: All leadership roles emphasize alignment with ACT-IAC’s mission, timely project delivery, inclusive and neutral representation, and active engagement across government and industry members. 

Nomination Process:  

  • Candidates can nominate themselves or be nominated by another individual by completing the nomination form and a signed, dated copy of the ACT-IAC Code of Conduct.
  • Deadline to submit a nomination is May 8, 2026, 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
  • Names of all nominees will be posted on the ACT-IAC website prior to the election.
  • Online elections will open on May 13, 2026.
  • For Industry applicants, your organization must be an ACT-IAC member.
  • Review the roles and responsibilities for each leadership position.
  • Participation in COI leadership roles requires time commitment. Ensure that you have the support of your organization’s leadership to pursue this activity.
