Re: LD Programs Project Postponed Indefinitely

I wanted to let you all know that the Interagency Chief Learning Officer Council, the sponsors of our Government Leadership Development Programs project have requested that we postpone our planned project until a later point in time.  The Council is interested in the goals and projected outcomes of the project, and recognizes our good intentions in volunteering to execute it; they feel it is not a good time for them to participate in such a project due to more pressing demands and constraints on their plates at this moment.  They will let us know when they would like us to reinitiate the project.

I spoke with Dr. Karlease Kelly, the CLO Council Chair this morning and as she let me know the Council’s request, I let her know we would abide by it and I would copy her on this email so she will know both that and how their request has been communicated.

I appreciate each of your willingness to participate in this project.  We all have lots of places we can invest our time and energy and like you, I was interested in getting to know the issues and best practices in this area, and hear and share our collective expertise with the government learning leaders as well as amongst ourselves.  I look forward to picking the project up again when the time is right.

  • Which programs are highest rated by their attendees (need to determine if those ratings by attendees can be found or developed)
  • What are the best programs for Senior Executive Service (SES), for 13-15s, for entry level
  • What are common elements of highly rated programs
