Cyber Workforce Project

Call for Project Volunteers! Volunteer now

The ACT-IAC Cyber COI seeks government and industry volunteers to participate in this project to identify and formally acknowledge roles aligned with Cyber work. Facing multiple challenges on both sides, government and industry, such as:
  • Managing cybersecurity programs to keep up with rapidly changing technologies and emerging threats,
  • Providing a cybersecurity workforce with sufficient skills and capacity, on an ongoing basis, in achieving cybersecurity goals.

Summary:

The project purpose is to determine the impact of Cyber trainings and efforts in the current federal workforce and help both federal agencies and individuals plan for the future workforce. This project will:

  • Anticipate required competencies and skills to attain Cyber / IT functions.
  • Improve federal workforce efficiency and morale by outlining career paths and career opportunities.
  • Provide tools for managing workforce requirements that support Cyber / IT enhancements.

 

The Cyber COI is looking to develop a whitepaper to determine the impact of Cyber trainings and efforts in the current federal workforce and help both federal agencies and individuals plan for the future workforce.
