Not Your Average Book Club | January 15, 2026 | 12:00–1:00 PM EST
Join the ACT-IAC Talent Community of Interest (COI) for a fresh take on the traditional book club — one with no homework required.
This interactive session invites you to bring whatever has recently inspired you: a book, article, podcast, or idea that sparked your curiosity. We’ll follow a mindful structure so everyone gets a chance to *briefly* share a recent read and something they're looking forward to learning more about. We'll use these inspirations as a starting point for an intentional, engaging conversation focused on shared learning, new perspectives, and meaningful networking.
Attendees will receive a follow-up email listing book recommendations and learning goals of each fellow attendee with the encouragement to foster connections between book club meetings!
Whether you’re looking to discover new resources, exchange ideas, or connect with fellow lifelong learners, this session is designed to help you grow both personally and professionally.
Be part of a conversation that’s anything but average.
In addition, Dr. Gerome Banks (OPM) will provide a brief overview of the Leadership for an Efficient and Accountable Government (LEAG) Program, a program designed for high-potential, high-performing GS-14 and GS-15 federal employees for advancement to Senior Executive Service (SES) roles.
