On Saturday, December 14, 2024, wreath placement will begin at 8:00am at the Arlington National Cemetery. We will meet in line at the main gate on Memorial Ave between 7:30am and 7:45am to enter as a group. Our event leads are Tara Chavda (gAp) and Leslie Barry (ACT-IAC Staff).
After we enter the cemetery, we will walk until we find a truck with available wreaths. You will get a wreath from a volunteer and take it to a gravestone. It’s encouraged to say the soldier’s name out loud as you lay the wreath at the stone’s base. Any stones with the star of David, do not need a wreath laid. Then, you will return to the truck for another wreath and go find another open stone. This process is repeated by thousands of volunteers until every soldier has a wreath throughout the cemetery.
