Abstract
This case study highlights GSA’s contracting approach for the 15-year, $50 billion government-wide Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) program to provide federal agencies with mission-critical telecommunications infrastructure and IT services and support their IT Modernization efforts. The approach epitomized government-industry collaboration including three GSA and ACT-IAC coordinated “EIS Information Exchange” sessions. The study discusses innovations to date through over $7 billion in awarded task orders. The lessons learned are available for other federal agencies as they pursue their IT modernization goals through EIS.
