Delivering Outcomes, Building Trust

Abstract

Delivering outcomes is fundamental to citizen trust and confidence in government. This paper builds on those themes in three areas:

  • Delivering citizen-centric services;
  • Transforming the national infrastructure making it more efficient to operate and resilient; and
  • Creating an agile government.

The paper identifies opportunities and challenges  and provides recommendations on how to achieve those goals. This is the fourth Presidential election cycle where ACT-IAC has identified important issues facing the nation and provided recommendations on how to address those issues. The paper was developed by a team of former senior government officials from both Republican and Democratic administrations including Jim Cook (MITRE), Dan Chenok (IBM), Robert Shea (Grant Thornton Public Sector), Alan Balutis (Cisco), Casey Coleman (Salesforce), Kathy Conrad (Accenture Federal), Mark Forman (SAIC), Dave McClure (Accenture Federal), and Richard Spires (Richard Spires Consulting).
