Judy Cohen is an executive coach, trainer and organizational and management consultant that works with both individuals and teams in the areas of leadership and performance improvement. She is the founder and principal of Amaze Strategies LLC, an executive coaching and consulting firm. As an experienced corporate executive, Judy has an understanding of and appreciation for the multitude of skills needed to lead organizations and teams, overcome business challenges, and achieve career success in our complex and changing world.
Judy works with leaders to maximize their impact while maintaining their authenticity, with an emphasis on focus and connection. Judy teaches leadership and professional development programs, including a class on Women’s Transformational Leadership. Her main focus is on working with women in technology-related roles. In 2019, Judy co-presented a session on women and power at the Grace Hopper Celebration, the world’s largest conference for women in Information technology.
Judy’s work builds upon her career in the information technology industry, where she worked for large, middle-sized and small companies in support of government and corporate clients. In 2015, she received the Federal 100 award in recognition of her leadership in support of a highly-visible government program. Judy has served as an adjunct lecturer at the American University, where she received the Dean's Award for Outstanding Service, and George Mason University. Judy, an ACT-IAC Fellow, has been an active member of IAC for 15 years. She revitalized and led the Small Business SIG and participated in the IT Partners class of 2010.
Judy has been certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC), is certified in The Leadership Circle Profile and EQ-i, and is trained in the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument and Diamond Power Index assessment tool. Her educational background includes a Leadership Coaching certificate from Georgetown University's Institute for Transformational Leadership, an MS degree in Organizational Development from American University, and a BS degree in Mathematics from the University at Albany - SUNY. In addition, she holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
