2025 Emerging Technology and Innovation Awards
Nomination Rules and Guidelines:
Nominations will be accepted through
March 7, 2025
.
Anyone can nominate
an innovation that benefits (or could benefit) government missions, functions or management and operations.
Nominations should represent the
application (e.g., research, concept evaluation, pilot, or full-scale operations) of innovative approaches, methods, tools, or solutions
.
Nominations that are
product announcements or marketing descriptions of current offerings are not encouraged
.
There is
no limit to the number
of nominations you may submit. You may submit more than one. There is no cost for submitting a nomination.
Nominations
must have been conceived, developed, deployed, or upgraded in the last two years
(after January 1, 2023) to be eligible.
Nominations can come from government, private sector companies, academic research institutions, or any combination or partnership. Partnerships with government are encouraged.

and must complete the entire submission in a single session.
After you
answer all of the questions

to submit your nomination.
All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges to select the award winners. The points of contact in the nomination form
will be notified
if they are selected as one of the best nominations or as an award winner. Award winners will be recognized at the
ACT-IAC Emerging Technology and Innovation Conference
from May 4-6, 2025.”

1. Innovation Name - What is your innovation called? (Please spell out any acronyms)
2. Describe your innovation – what does it do and why it is innovative? (e.g. Novel use of technology? Innovative approach to creation? Unique solution to a longstanding problem? Early-stage idea that has “game changing” potential?) (1,000 word limit)
3. What change does your innovation attempt to deliver or create and how? This can be described in terms of a new solution to a problem or a new outcome to be delivered. (500 word limit)
4. Who will benefit from your innovation and how will they benefit? Include qualitative and quantitative benefits and consider including “before” and “after” innovation metrics. (500 word limit)
5. What is the status of your innovation?
Deployed (in operation/production)
Prototype, Proof of Concept, or Pilot Stage (must have at least one working instance of the solution)
Conceptual Stage (must have at least a complete proposal endorsed or approved by a third party)
