Tim Smith

With a career that spans 32+ years, Tim is dedicated to supporting the federal government and delivering mission critical services by leveraging technology to improve the way our national security programs work. Tim is a member of the Omni Federal Leadership Team and leads Omni’s Intelligence line of business, bringing the full spectrum of Omni’s cutting-edge solutions, services and products to the Intelligence community in support of the foreign policy and national security interests of the United States.

Tim previously served as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MAXISIQ responsible for ensuring delivery of mission critical services to the Departments of Defense, Justice, and Intelligence Community. Tim was with OnPoint from 2009 – 2022, served as their President from 2015-2022 and led an organization that provided cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise and digital services to the Departments of Defense, State, Energy, and Intelligence Community. Tim was part of the leadership team that positioned OnPoint for sale in 2014.

Tim has held leadership roles with federal contracting providers including as Vice President of ManTech and Vice President at CGS. Tim began his career with American Management Systems (AMS) where he was a Principal Manager.

Active in the federal contracting community, Tim was honored in 2022 as a Fed100 awardee, and he helps to drive industry and government collaboration and innovation through the American Council for Technology-Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) where for the past 5 years he has served on the IAC Executive Committee and is currently the Vice Chair of Finance. Tim was a member of the ACT-IAC Institute for Innovation and an Innovator's Circle Member from 2015 – 2022 and was Industry Vice Chair of the Executive Leadership Conference (ELC) in 2019 and Industry Chair in 2020. In 2019 Tim was a recipient of the ACT-IAC Leadership Award.

Tim attended Shippensburg and Georgetown Universities and continues to stay involved with both. He sat on the Board of Directors for the Shippensburg University Foundation and was President of the Alumni Association and Young Alumni of the Year in 2007.

Tim and his wife Jill live in Loudoun County on the Blue Ridge Mountains where they often enjoy a quiet weekend at one of the local Virginia wineries. Tim & Jill both stay active by competing in triathlons and in 2004 Tim and Jill both completed the Iron Man USA competition.
