Christopher Rosier

Christopher J. Rosier serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Acquisition Management within the Office of Finance and Operations at the U.S. Department of Education (ED). In this senior executive role, Christopher provides strategic leadership for the Department’s acquisition enterprise, overseeing policy, governance, and the implementation of an Acquisition Lifecycle Framework designed to strengthen accountability, performance, and mission delivery. Christopher manages an annual contract portfolio exceeding $2 billion, supporting programs and initiatives that advance educational outcomes across the nation.

As ED’s Deputy Chief Acquisition Officer and Senior Procurement Executive, Christopher leads Department-wide efforts to improve acquisition outcomes, modernize business and supply chain systems, strengthen the acquisition workforce, and promote innovative strategies that support ED’s mission. Christopher’s portfolio encompasses acquisition policy, workforce development, supply chain management, business systems, and enterprise contracting.

Christopher previously held multiple senior leadership roles within the ED’s acquisition system, including Executive Director and Head of the Contracting Activity (HCA) for the Contracts and Acquisition Management organization, Deputy Executive Director, and Chief of the Contracting Office. With more than 18 years of federal acquisition experience and prior private-sector experience in accounting and real estate acquisitions, Christopher brings deep expertise in acquisition strategy, organizational transformation, and enterprise risk management.

Christopher holds a Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting and earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a minor in Sociology from the College of William & Mary. A proud graduate of Gonzaga College High School, Christopher remains active in mentorship rooted in Jesuit values.
