Brant Horio leads a strategic research group at LMI, integrating resources, technologies, and partnerships with applied research efforts to advance the organization's innovation mission. His management of a dynamic research portfolio—shaped by deep collaboration within and beyond the organization—yields evidence-based insights and strategies that directly address critical unknowns and capability gaps. These efforts serve to help direct key innovation investments and also ensure the effective targeting of organizational efforts to maximize impact and drive forward strategic innovation initiatives.

Brant holds a bachelor’s in systems engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, a master’s in operations research from George Mason University, and doctorate in computational social science from George Mason University.
