President, Information and Computing Sciences
William Mark leads SRI's Information and Computing Sciences division: 250 researchers creating new technology in machine learning, virtual personal assistance, trusted systems, and computational biology, primarily for the U.S. Government. The group also commercializes technology, licensing to corporations and creating spinoff companies such as Siri, Kasisto, LatentAI, and OTO.
Prior to joining SRI, Dr. Mark headed research groups at National Semiconductor, Lockheed Martin, and the University of Southern California Information Sciences Institute, and co-founded a company developing software tools for manufacturing. Dr. Mark has a Ph.D. in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
