Did you know that there are 26 million STEM jobs in the United States? This makes up nearly 20% of all US jobs. Careers in STEM are vital to the success of our nation and occupations in the STEM field are rapidly growing. Research shows that the earlier students are introduced to STEM in their education, the more likely they are to consider a career in one of these areas in the future. Volunteer and do your part to help promote the importance of STEM for our future leaders.
Join the ACT-IAC Volunteer Corps and DC STEM Network on Saturday March 17, 2018 for the DC STEM Fair at Ron Brown High School. The Fair is seeking judges to support the middle and high school fair. Judges will review up to 10 student projects in 22 categories. The DC STEM Fair will aim to match judges with their top three preferred judging categories. Judges will receive a short orientation the morning of the Fair, and spend two hours judging projects and talking with students.
