Volunteer Corps Event: Elementary DC STEM Fair
Did you know that there are 26 million STEM jobs in the United States? This makes up nearly 20% of all US jobs. Careers in STEM are vital to the success of our nation and occupations in the STEM field are rapidly growing. Research shows that the earlier students are introduced to STEM in their education, the more likely they are to consider a career in one of these areas in the future. Volunteer and do your part to help promote the importance of STEM for our future leaders.
Join the ACT-IAC Volunteer Corps and DC STEM Network on Saturday June 2, 2018 for the Elementary DC STEM Fair at the University of the District of Columbia's Student Center. The DC STEM Network is seeking professionals with an interest in promoting STEM to help judge 3rd through 5th grade student projects.
Judges will receive a short orientation the morning of the Fair, and spend two hours judging projects and talking with students. To register to be a judge please click on the Individual Registration link on the right side of the page and you will receive an email with further details regarding registration.
