Ted Davies Appointed Executive Vice Chair for the Industry Advisory Council

As announced last month, Tony Scott tendered his resignation as Executive Vice Chair for the Industry Advisory Council (IAC), effective September 9, 2019, to accommodate his need to spend more time in California to support his family and other commitments. We would like to thank Tony once again for his service in support of ACT-IAC and look forward to continuing to engage Tony as his schedule permits.

In accordance with the IAC Bylaws, Article V: Officers and Duties, Section 5, “In the event of a vacancy in any office because of death, resignation, removal, disqualification or otherwise, the IAC Chair may appoint a replacement, subject to approval of the Executive Committee, for the unexpired portion of the term.” Accordingly, I have appointed, and the IAC Executive Committee has approved, Ted Davies, CEO at Altamira Technologies Corporation, to replace Tony as the Executive Vice Chair and the next Chair of IAC.

This appointment was critical and unprecedented. As such, I consulted with several past IAC Chairs before arriving at the decision. Many characteristics and criteria were considered in arriving at this decision, I strongly believe that this selection best positions the organization for future success. As you know, Ted has been a long-time supporter of ACT-IAC, a previously elected IAC Chair and currently sits on the IAC Executive Committee as an appointed member. For the past couple of years Ted has also chaired ACT-IAC’s Executive Collaboration Forum and has done significant outreach to industry leaders on our behalf. His knowledge and experience will allow him to immediately step in and significantly contribute to the leadership of ACT-IAC. I know you will all join me in thanking Tony for his service and welcoming Ted once more to this important leadership role.

Paul Strasser
IAC Chair
