Swathi Young

Chief Technology Officer

Swathi Young is a formidable force in the technology industry. An award-winning leader with over 20 years of technology experience across organizations such as Amtrak, SunGard, GE, and Oracle. She is a practicing data scientist who helps transform businesses through innovative emerging technology products and solutions that help optimize and grow enterprises to new and more profitable levels. 
 
Her career highlights include successfully steering a product rollout for Amtrak reservation systems handling 30+ million users and $2 billion in revenue; designing product architecture and roadmaps for new SunGard products with target revenues of $32 million per year; and launching the business model for a SaaS-based solution with a target revenue of $80 million.  
 
In 2020, Swathi was selected to be a member of the Forbes Technology Council, where she shares her expert insights in original business articles on Forbes.com. 
 
Swathi is the brand ambassador for Women in AI, an international non-profit organization whose goal is to increase diversity in AI.  
 
Swathi also founded and runs DC Emerging Technologies, an active, industry-oriented group that now boasts over 2,000 technocrats. The group focuses on harnessing emerging and disruptive technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), 3D Printing, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, AI, Machine learning, etc. to help the business community with the knowledge and resources needed to develop solutions.  
 
She mentors at 1776, a premium startup accelerator, where she advises entrepreneurs on strategies and best practices for identifying product-market fit, go-to-market strategies, design thinking, and agile engineering processes.  
 
She recently co-authored the AI Playbook, a framework to help federal agencies implement AI products and solutions. She is also one of the leading members of the Ethical Application of AI solutions framework to help organizations measure and monitor the ethical implications of Artificial Intelligence Applications.
