Advisor to the Deputy Administrator
Steve Krauss is an Advisor to the Deputy Administrator and member of the NewPay Program Office at the General Services Administration (GSA). He has overseen elements of GSA's Agency Reform Plan including an effort to improve cost transparency and streamline operations at various levels within the agency. Previously, Steve served as the Director of Category Management Strategic Execution within the Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) at GSA. In this role, Steve stood up and ran the program office supporting the government-wide, OMB-led Category Management initiative.
Steve joined federal service in August 2015 after working more than 20 years in industry in a variety of roles related to business operations, commercial and government IT, and supply chain logistics. Prior to working at GSA, Steve served as Corporate Development Officer for Censeo Consulting Group, a data analytics and strategy consulting firm focused largely on improving public sector operations through supply chain and human capital strategy.
