The Role of Cyber Insurance in Risk Reduction, Acquisition Policy and Contractor Behavior Modification

 

This project is an ACT-IAC Executive Committee Focus Area.

Determine the role of cyber insurance in Government operations including expansion of the DHS Cyber Incident Data and Analysis Working Group (CIDAWG) program, insurance’s role in infrastructure protection and resiliency, and other issues.

Cyber insurance was identified as an area of interest in the Cyber Ideation report.  A critical element of the Cyber National Action Plan (CNAP) is the protection of critical infrastructure. There is a question of whether there is adequate insurance in place to repair critical infrastructure in the event of a cyber incident.
