ACTIVITIES

ACT-IAC has established several on-going activities to serve the needs of specific constituencies.  The major activities are described below.

Chapters

ACT-IAC is a national organization created to improve government at all levels and across the nation.  The ACT-IAC Rocky Mountain Chapter, headquartered in Denver, serves the government technology community in Colorado and surrounding states.  Government employees, regardless of location, may join ACT for free.  Industry employees whose organization is an IAC member are entitled to all benefits of membership even if they do not reside in Washington, DC.

Institute for Innovation

The ACT-IAC Institute for Innovation was created to provide a forum for thought leaders from government and industry to address high priority and game-changing issues.  In addition to sponsoring special projects, the Institute sponsors the annual Igniting Innovation awards.

Small Business Alliance

Small businesses play an important role in providing products and services for government.  Over 60% of IAC member companies are small businesses.  The ACT-IAC Small Business Alliance provides a continuing series of programs to serve the needs of the small business community.

NexUS

An important part of the ACT-IAC mission is to identify and help educate the future leaders of the government technology community.  NexUs was established to provide a forum where these future leaders can learn, build professional networks and engage in ACT-IAC.
