Nominations are accepted through January 18th from all quarters - government, industry, non-profits and academia. The Igniting Innovation Conference and Awards is the premier annual event to identify, recognize, promote, and connect innovations and innovators to improve services to citizens and government operations.
Last year, over 150 innovation nominations were submitted and more than 500 people attended the conference and awards event to promote innovation across federal, state and local government, industry, and academia. This full-day conference included exhibits by the top forty innovations selected and keynotes and panels by two dozen senior government officials and innovators. It culminated with the presentation of awards to the best-of-the best innovations selected by the attendees and judges.
Anyone can nominate an innovation that benefits (or could benefit) services to citizens and government operations and there is no limit to the number of nominations that may be submitted. Nominations must have been conceived, developed, deployed or upgraded in the last two years (after October 30, 2016) to be eligible. Nominations will be accepted from November 13, 2018 through January 18, 2019. All nominations will be reviewed by a panel of government and industry executives to select the top finalists who will be invited to exhibit their innovations at the conference and awards event to be held in May 2019.
