Michael Skorny serves as the GSA FEDSIM Acquisition Group Manager for the Homeland Sector, where he leads a team of FEDSIM Contracting Officers and Contract Specialists to acquisition strategies that achieve superior results for our customers in Department of Homeland Security. Through a dedicated cadre of acquisition professionals, FEDSIM serves as the leader in innovative acquisition strategies that achieve better results through better processes and critical thinking. FEDSIM Homeland Sector Acquisition Group Contracting Officers and Specialists currently support over $2.5 billion in complex projects for the Department of Homeland Security, to include the following:
• Enterprise Networked Services Support (ENSS) and Secure Enterprise Networks Systems, Services, and Support (SENS3) for the operation and evolution of DHS' classified networks;
• Assisted Acquisition in partnership with DHS for Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) as a means to acquire and deliver state-of-the-art cybersecurity tools and services to government networks;
• Technology Integration Program (TIP) and St. Elizabeths Technology (SETS) program for DHS’ Headquarters Campus at St Elizabeths.
Michael leads these integrated acquisition teams and ensures the government receives best value solutions from industry.Through strong partnerships with industry, Michael believes the government can achieve its mission to provide superior services to the American taxpayer. Michael is a graduate of 2013 ACT-IAC Voyager Program and continues to contribute to ACT-IAC's mission through the Fellows and NexUS.
