John B. Hill
Chief Strategy Officer
John Hill serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service. John is guiding the development of the bureau’s vision for the future of federal financial management (https://fmvision.fiscal.treasury.gov) In addition to this role, John has coordinated Fiscal’s support to Title IV and V of the CARES Act in disbursing $175 billion in relief funds to distressed industries and state and local governments since March.
John has held a variety of positions in the Fiscal Service, including Assistant Commissioner for Financial Innovation and Transformation, Chief Disbursing Officer, and Assistant Commissioner for Government-wide Accounting, as well as senior operations positions with Treasury’s Small Business Lending Fund and the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
John holds a BS in Applied Mathematics and MS in Operations Research from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MPA from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
