James Ward

VP U.S. Public Sector

James Ward is the VP U.S. Public Sector at Genesys, where he is responsible for all Federal and State/Local teams who are assisting agencies on their Customer Experience (CX) journey.  Genesys pioneered Experience as a Service to enable organizations of any size to provide true personalized automation at scale, interact with empathy, and foster customer trust and loyalty via an all-in-one cloud contact center platform.  James has a strong background in delivering complex CX solutions proven to improve operational performance.  James joined Genesys in 2013 through the acquisition of Angel, a cloud contact center provider who was pivotal in the development of multitenant cloud CX solutions. At Angel, James established their successful public sector team by connecting CX improvements with tactical technology capabilities. Prior to Angel, James was VP of Vertical Market Strategy with NFi Studios, a social collaboration and engagement platform provider. Earlier, James was Associate Director of Operations for The Corporate Executive Board, a subsidiary of Gartner.  There James engaged directly with Fortune 500 C-level and business unit leaders to relate best practices to strategic needs across Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Quality Assurance.  James received a B.S. in Business Administration with concentration in Entrepreneurship from the College of Charleston in Charleston SC. He resides with his wife and two young boys in Savannah GA.
