Abstract

This paper is a product of the Quadrennial Government Technology Review conducted by ACT-IAC to provide recommendations to the winner of the 2012 Presidential election on areas where an investment in information technology could reap significant benefits for the government and the nation.  This paper discusses the growth of healthcare costs and suggests ways in which investments in information technology can reduce such costs.  The paper also discusses the idea of focusing on "wellness" as part of a national strategy.
