COI Leadership

Primary Responsibilities

Industry Vice Chair

  • Act for the Industry Chair in his or her absence.
  • Support the Industry Chair in COI partnerships.
  • Coordinate all cross-COI activities.
  • Ensure that ACT-IAC leadership is aware of all COI activities at monthly COI Leadership meeting.
  • Represent ACT-IAC and the COI in a vendor-neutral manner.
  • Carry out such other activities as may be requested by the Chair.
  • Ensure that a list of attendees is generated and minutes are captured at each COI and committee/project meeting. The list of attendees and minutes should be posted on the COI webpage and/or coordinated with the ACT-IAC designated staff within 10 days.
  • Serves as a liaison with Government Advisor member(s).
  • Establish, monitor, and support projects that come to the COI by a government executive or agency.

 

Government Vice Chair

  • Act for the Government Chair in his or her absence.
  • Support Government Chair in COI partnerships.
  • Coordinate all cross-COI activities.
  • Ensure that ACT-IAC leadership is aware of all COI activities at monthly COI Leadership meeting.
  • Represent ACT-IAC and the COI in an agency-neutral manner.
  • Carry out such other activities as may be requested by the Chair.

Communications Chair

  • Ensure that copies of all minutes are posted on the COI webpage and/or coordinated with the ACT-IAC designated staff.
  • Maintain the official records of the COI (mission statement, agenda, work products, etc.) and ensuring that copies of all records are posted and/or coordinated with the ACT-IAC designated staff.
  • Develop and maintain COI brochures, including those for special events.
  • Prior to the COI meetings and events, provides a detailed outline of the agenda and key information that is then approved and disseminated to COI members and interested parties.
  • Ensure that COI and Government Advisor (GA) members are notified of meetings and those members receive all correspondence necessary to the conduct of COI business by providing the information to the ACT-IAC designated staff contact in a timely manner.
  • Develop a monthly communication/newsletter which captures events, news, calendar and other items of interest that is disseminated to the COI members and posted on the site. (This could be in the form of announcements using the website workspace capability)
  • Ensure that copies of all COI work products are posted to the ACT-IAC portal.
  • Communicate all membership issues to the Chair.

Program Chair

  • Establish and maintain a schedule for all COI programs and events.
  • Working with the COI members, arrange for the monthly program speaker or event.
  • Serve as the COI liaison to the Program Chair and ensure that COI activities are properly coordinated with the Program Chair.
  • Ensure that COI events are conducted in accordance with ACT-IAC policy.

 

Knowledge Capture Chair

  • Ensure that all event materials are posted to the COI webpage and/or coordinated with the ACT-IAC designated staff for posting.
  • Work as back up to the Knowledge Capture Chair when KCC is not available.
    • Determine and capture any COI project outcomes required and ensure they are provided to appropriate persons.
  • Capture the outcomes of COI meetings, programs and events and provide the materials to the Communications Chair to disseminate and post.
  • Support the Communications Chair in the development of a monthly communication/newsletter which captures events, news, calendar and other items of interest that is disseminated to the COI members and posted on the site.
  • Ensure that COI events are conducted in accordance with ACT-IAC policy.
  • Ensure that all event materials are sent to the staff contact for posting.
  • Work as back up to the Program Chair when the PC is not available.
