OPM offering Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification classes for Federal government

OPM’s Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training and Certification:  OPM is offering Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt training and certification courses for federal staff in support of the President’s Management Agenda and Cross-Agency Priority Goals by reskilling staff and increasing capacity to design and execute process improvement initiatives.  Individuals will learn to increase efficiency and effectiveness of federal processes by understanding and practicing tools and techniques in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, using data to drive decisions, and addressing root causes of organizational challenges.  To become Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified, in addition to the two weeks of LSS in-person training, each student will complete an LSS project in their home agency. Students will apply their new LSS skills to their project with support from LSS instructors and coaches. Upon completion of all training requirements, project approval by PPIP's instructors or coaches at each tollgate phase, and completion of their Lean Six Sigma project, participants will be eligible for certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.  The next two training and certification programs will be conducted in the Washington, DC. area and will take place one week per month, over a two month period: October 8-11, 2019 & November 19-22, 2019; and December 10-13, 2019 & January 14-17, 2020.
