Center Stage

OMB has announced the creation of the Government Effectiveness Advanced Research (GEAR) Center to explore how ideas from industry and academic experts can be piloted through public-private partnerships, to produce actionable results and recommendations for government agencies. OMB and GSA recently awarded several challenge grants as initial demonstrations of how the GEAR Center will provide a pathway for innovation from industry and campuses across the country to support government needs and identify opportunities to transform government programs. How can this new initiative drive real change? What obstacles stand in the way of success and how can these be overcome?

Come to this session to learn about the GEAR Center, and hear first-hand from one of the challenge grant winners how this initiative can enable the government to explore groundbreaking new initiatives in cybersecurity and other areas.
