Federal Insights Exchange Session featuring Department of State
Saturday, November 13, 2021 - 11:00AM EST
Overview
Where Preparation Meets Opportunity
The mission of the U.S. Department of State is to lead America’s foreign policy through diplomacy, advocacy, and assistance by advancing the interests of the American people, their safety, and economic prosperity.
The Federal Insights Exchange is pleased to have Stuart M. McGuigan, Chief Information Officer, Department of State, and his leadership team as our guest speakers. The State Department successfully modernized through the COVID crisis due to the dedication and commitment of the worldwide staff who rethought the approach for the global deployment of IT systems to support telework around the globe. As a result, the Information Resources Management (IRM) bureau is confident to accelerate its IT modernization plans. This modernized IT foundation unlocks potential for future modernizations to support a mobile, agile, and engaged workforce.
Stuart McGuigan, a member of the Senior Executive Service, was named Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the Assistant-Secretary level head of the Bureau of Information Resource Management on March 25, 2019. As Chief Information Officer (CIO), he establishes technology strategic direction and provides oversight for $2.4 billion of technology programs across the Department.
This event is open to the Federal IT community. We also welcome members of the federal contracting community who are not currently ACT-IAC members.
