Overview

Data Driven Decision Making (3DM) - Meeting mission Needs

overview:

As stated in the President's management Agenda, "Data, Accountability, and Transparency" are key drivers of effective and trustworthy government.  Leveraging data as a strategic asset is key to establishing agency priorities, policies, and effective governance.  The comprehensive Federal Data Strategy and the Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018 emphasize the collaboration and coordination of advancing data and evidence-building functions in the federal government.

This forum will share the government's need for a new law, a summary of the released action plans and what each agency needs to do to comply.  In addition, the planning team will present the findings of the: "ACT-IAC Advancing Data Driven Decision-Making in the Public Sector" special project results.

objectives:

  • For government to understand how to quickly achieve the objectives for the Federal Data Act and Evidence Act
  • For industry to understand what government needs to support this directive
  • The opportunity to exchange ideas and insight based on the ACT-IAC Data Driven Decision-Making research study and report
