5g:  Mission enabling critical infrastructure

description

5G refers to the fifth generation of wireless networks and technology that will lead to improving data speed, volume and latency AND will change the standard of public and private sector operations, from autonomous vehicles to smart cities.  5G will dramatically impact the future of global communication networks; enhance decision-making and strategic capabilities; link to multiple systems and devices while sharing information in real time; increase operational efficiency while driving innovation across products and business models; and will ultimately drive interoperability across networks. With the improved efficiency and reliability, 5G will lead to improved data visibility and collection, improved customer experiences and new ways of working.

The ACT-IAC 5G forum will provide the audience an overview of where 5G is today in the United States, the applications and usages, and where 5G is heading in the future.

objectives

  • Understand the dynamics and changes involved with 5G
  • Learn how federal agencies and states are leveraging the latest 5G technology through plans, pilots, and deployments
