Data Driven Decision Making

The Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act and the Federal Data Strategy establish new requirements for agencies to manage and use data to make better decisions. Agency leaders face multiple challenges in meeting these requirements. ACT-IAC undertook the “Data-Driven Decision-Making Project” to provide agencies with effective tools, strategies and practices, help them meet these new mandates, and strengthen their abilities to manage and use data to make decisions. The project report includes a data management maturity model, a self-assessment tool, and key lessons and practices agencies can use to help organize and accelerate their efforts.
