Deputy Executive Director
Glenda Henning (703-208-4800 x203) Deputy Executive Director. Glenda brings to ACT-IAC the perspectives gained from over 20 years as a senior executive with both for-profit and non-profit organizations. In her current role as Deputy Executive Director, Glenda acts as a close partner to the Executive Director in shaping and implementing the strategic direction of the organization. As the organization’s chief operating officer, her responsibilities include strategic management and day-to-day operation of all key program areas including membership; conferences and sponsorships; education; technology strategy; public relations and marketing and infrastructure management. She also serves as the chief human capital officer and is responsible for staff management and development. Prior to joining ACT-IAC in 2008 Glenda served as Senior Director of Membership, Marketing and Operations for the Investment Adviser Association. She also has experience in the information technology arena as Vice President of Operations for Hitachi Innovative Solutions and as the owner of her own technology education company. Glenda’s expertise includes her ability to translate strategic direction into effective programs and manage the resources to achieve mission objectives in an efficient and effective manner. She is also known for her ability to instill a strong sense of customer support into the organization and create an environment that supports a member-driven and mission oriented organization. Glenda holds dual BS degrees in Psychology and Sociology from the University of the State of New York.
