Senior Director, Corporate Development
Carol S. Miller, BSN, MBA, PMP, ([email protected]) (703-208-4800, ext. 256) joined ACT IAC in July 2016 as the Senior Director of Corporate Development. Carol brings to ACT IAC more than 25+ years of industry contracting experience with multiple government agencies that include the services of business development, capture, proposal writing, strategic planning, and program operations, and as well, private sector consulting to hospital systems and providers. Carol has managed her own consulting firm, Miller Consulting Group, for the past seven years where she has provided support services to large and small business firms. In addition, for the past 12 years, Carol has supported ACT IAC as a volunteer; during the last 9 years she has participated in and led the ACT IAC Ambassador Sponsorship Program; during the years 2009-2011 was Vice Chair at-large on the ACT IAC Executive Committee; and in 2009 was a graduate of the Partners Program. In her current position, Carol will be responsible for the sponsorship strategic direction, meetings with member firms, recommendations and meetings with potential patron support for the Institute for Innovation, management of the Ambassador Sponsorship Program, and meetings with new firms who are not familiar with ACT IAC overall, but are interested in becoming a member. Carol holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, a Bachelor of Science in Business from St. Joseph’s University, and a dual Masters in Business and Finance from Marymount University. In addition, Carol is a certified Program Management Professional and is Past President and current Board Member for the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) National Capital Area.
