Vice President at Large
With over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) Industry as a computer Scientist/Systems Engineer and Program Manager, I have focused on systems/application development and deployment both in private industry as well as government sector. I am a successful goal-driven professional with experience with strategic program management, program/project management, systems delivery and deployment, implementing effective business process engineering initiatives across the development lifecycle, implementing enterprise-wide initiatives across the Department and the Federal Government and updating the systems life cycle to reflect incremental delivery (agile). As part of the Senior Executive Service within the Department of Homeland Security, I have managed the Department's IT spend of $6.8B, successfully implemented FITARA, continue to implement IT Category Management, and now focused on delivering the Continuous Diagnostics Monitoring (CDM) Federal-wide initiative for DHS. As an Executive within the Federal Government, I continue to hold these three basic principles as extremely important to my success both in my work life as well as my personal life. They are (1) Accountability - taking ownership and responsibility for the task assigned and delivering on commitment to our customers; (2) Respect for the Individual - ensuring that ALL people/employees are treated with value and respect; and (3) Integrity - because there is no substitution for the truth.
