OUR MISSION

Facilitate the strategic use of technology to improve the mission of government.

OUR OBJECTIVES
  • To facilitate effective communication among the managers and users of IT, including: the government agencies regulating those technologies (federal, state, local and international); industry; and the academic community
  • To improve government through the efficient and innovative application of information technology assets
  • To provide training and education to enhance the competence of the workforce at the federal, state and local levels of government
  • To promote the public sector information technology profession
OUR PRINCIPLES
  • Our mission is better government and government issues drive our agenda
  • We strive to improve government outcomes through collaboration and partnership
  • Our activities will be objective, transparent, ethical and vendor/technology neutral
  • Our education programs will contribute to a more effective workforce by providing opportunities for government and industry to learn together and from each other
  • We will provide an environment of trust between government and industry that is earned and preserved by not allowing business development or lobbying in our activities
  • To maintain our objectivity we will not accept government funding to support our programs
